Robert
K. "Rob" Hillis 50, of Michigantown, IN died on February
9, 2009 at 10:20 pm, in St. Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis, IN. He
was born on August 28, 1958 in Frankfort, the son of James E. and
Dorothy E. (Kingery) Hillis. He married Lori Wampler on August 26,
1983. Rob was a 1976 graduate of Frankfort High School. He lived
and farmed in Clinton County his entire life. He was a member,
former deacon and former trustee of the Michigantown Christian
Church. He was also a member of the planning board for the new
Michigan Road Library in Michigantown, and was vice president of
the Clinton Central Swim Club. Rob dedicated his life to church,
farming and his family.
Services
will be at 11:00 am Saturday, February 14, 2009 at Michigantown
Christian Church with Bob Woods officiating. Visitation will be
from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday at Goodwin Funeral Home and one
hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Mr. Hillis will
be laid to rest at Whiteman Cemetery in Frankfort, IN. Memorials
may be made to: Michigantown Christian Church or Michigan Road
Community Library, envelopes will be available.

By: his wife Lori Hillis of Michigantown, IN, daughter Holley
Hillis of Michigantown, IN, sister: Janet E. (Robert M.) Shands of
Flora, IN, brother: Thomas J. (Marianne) Hillis of Kokomo, IN. He
was preceded in death by his parents. |
